Ombudsmen are advocates who protect and promote the rights of residents in long-term care facilities. If you have questions, concerns, or complaints about your rights and care, an ombudsman will: 

  • Listen 

  • Respect your choices 

  • Protect your rights 

  • Help resolve concerns and complaints 

  • Offer ideas and options 

  • Support resident and family councils
