More than 1,300 served at CCH Health Fair
October 15, 2019
Casey County Hospital hosted its annual Health Fair on Aug. 24, where more than 1,300 people in the community took advantage of services offered. The Health Fair changed its location this year, setting up in front of the hospital rather than in front of Casey County Primary Care.
In the week preceding the Health Fair, residents were offered the opportunity to have their blood drawn for a check-up that shows cholesterol and glucose levels in their blood, among other things. Medical providers were on hand the day of the Health Fair to explain blood results to those who picked up their paperwork.
Those who attended the Health Fair were able to browse the 30-plus health-related vendor booths that were set up, take advantage of information and incentives that were distributed, as well free screenings, such as blood pressure checks.
The CCH Auxiliary hosted a huge Silent Auction, which is the organization’s largest fund-raiser of the year, and a concession stand. Activities were also provided for children.
