CASEY COUNTY HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
The Casey County Hospital Auxiliary consists of both hospital employees and community members. The group’s primary purpose is to assist the hospital and/or various departments with projects or items they may need.
Some of the items the Auxiliary has funded include purchasing recliners/sleeping chairs for use in patient rooms, a vein light for the hospital’s emergency room, a new printer and landscaping for one of the hospital’s clinics, and a baby changing station for the hospital lobby restroom. The Auxiliary also buys gifts for patients at all holidays.
To do these things, the Auxiliary does fund-raising throughout the year, with its major fund-raiser held at the annual Health Fair with a Silent Auction. It is made possible through donations from the hospital departments and individual employees, as well as local businesses.
The CCH Auxiliary also sponsors a community Halloween Bash, inviting area children to take part in costume contests and pumpkin painting. The event is free with lunch provided and nice prizes awarded to winners in the various categories of the contests. The Auxiliary also takes a role in the annual Employee Christmas Party, providing decorations and treat bags, and assisting Santa Claus with his visit with the children.
The Auxiliary meets at 12 noon on the first Thursday of the month in the conference room at Casey County Primary Care. Dues are $5 a year and anyone is welcome to join.
